And now for something you'll really like!!! I started listening to this band today and I am hooked. I don't know if it is meant to be pronounced the x's or the x-x. Either way, these guys are fabulous.

Creepy Amazing Music Video #4 & #5

Since I am slacking big time on posting some pics from Chicago, I decided I would put up TWO music videos for ya from two of my favorite bands I saw at Lollapalooza. The first is "Cold Dust Girl" from Hey Champ. Please be warned that the video contains a few images that are PG-13. (I will just tell you right now that two girls kiss) So you may want to just play it and check your Facebook on another tab or something because the song is really kickin. Second is "To Kingdom Come" by Passion Pit. If you want to go buy a really fun album go pick up Manners, the first full-length album from these guys. It's great. (A small parenthetical side note. I was under the impression that the name of this song was Eyes As Candles. Somehow when I *ahem* downloaded *cough* this album a few track names were switched. Let that be a lesson to us all about *ahem* downloading *cough* music.)

Back by popular demand, (by me) it's the Creepy Amazing Music Video! Today's installment is The Sound by Human Highway. It's a few months old, but it is all new to me. We discovered this band on Thursday as the opening act for Black Keys at the Twilight Concert Series. Being late, we only heard their last few songs, but what we heard was great. I didn't realize it at the time, but the two main guys in this band were/are part of the band Islands. Cool! As you watch this you are probably thinking to yourself: Cody, are you always on acid when you blog? The answer: No, not always. Alright, never. But I love good music and I am in to Pink Floyd too, so all this stuff just kind of works for me. Enjoy!

So I am trying to get this blogging thing down better and today I am going to try posting a video. Straight outta Brooklyn, Grizzly Bear is one of the best indie bands putting out music today. Their new album, Veckatimest, comes out today. Two Weeks is the first single off the album and is one of the most hauntingly beautiful tunes I have heard in quite some time. Watching the music video brings a few words to my mind 1) Bizzare 2) Creepy 3) Strange 4) Weird 5) Awesome.
