Oakland Loves Journey

Yesterday, Marcus and I began our vacation to San Francisco. We stayed the night in Winnemucca and then drove into California. We stopped in Sacramento and ate at this amazing restaurant...

I had this week's special called the Zac Attack which has pretty much everything good you could put on a burger. 1/2 pound of meat, pastrami, swiss cheese, bacon, mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and a secret sauce. The best part about it was that it was cheaper than standard hamburger Marcus got. Sucker.

When we got to the Bay Area, we hit up an A's game. We root, root, rooted for the home team and the won 2-1 over the Indians. There was not a lot of action, but we had fun nonetheless.

After the game, they put on a firework show. They got things going by playing "Lights" by Journey as they shut down the stadium lights. When the song started people went crazy and sang it at the top of their lungs. During the fireworks, instead of the typical patriotic mix, they played the best of karaoke. We heard "Friends in Low Places", "Sweet Caroline" and "Livin' On A Prayer". It didn't change my opinion on fireworks, but it was fun to get a change in set list. Of course to close things out, Oakland pressed the Journey button again and blasted "Don't Stop Believing". Again the crowd went wild. You stay classy, Oakland.
